The architecture of the system facilitates simple integration with existing systems.
It has a layered architecture; various components and modules are independently maintained and integrated in order to use the content management system effectively.
Library
There is an extensive centralized library which is accessed by all components. This facilitates easy maintenance of a system solution.
Core system
Web page management, templates, modules and site specific custom components are built as the foundation for the entire system.
Template Management
Control the visual design and function of each web page through templates. Choose from a number of built-in templates or create and modify templates to suit your business needs.
Security
Well secured network environments using stand-alone applications and a support system protect these systems.
Transactions
An EC Web back-end application authenticates all requests, in order to avoid deliberate or accidental corruption. No form of unauthorized updates is possible in the order process.
Session Management
Session management services are externally and separately maintained. A page mechanism accesses the session management service as needed.
Support
EC Web supports Secure Socket Layer (SSL) for browser-server connections. The use of SSL for encrypting payment card details is currently the dominant approach adopted by merchants who use the internet.
Cookie Handling
Cookie Handling EC Web cookies are not used to store or collect any personal information. They are used to access information for returning customers and to maintain their corresponding user preferences.
Module Management
EC Web is designed to add new modules and functionality as business needs arise. Each module has three components: an “Editor System”, a “Rendering System” and a “List of web services”.
Product System
The Product system provides extensive category, product and package management, with a comprehensive administration interface. It also provides simple integration with third party systems.
E-Commerce system
This is a dependent component of the Product system, which takes care of shopping basket session management, the order process, payment gateways and the integration of custom business logic.
User System
Create and manage individual users and user groups. Assign role-based access and control authorization for users to access the entire site or only specific areas within the site.
