Back-office systems, such as ERP in general, do not support the same amount of data or rich text data as EC Web CMS does. It is important in online retailing to have options for unlimited product display, a dynamic number of image files, Flash, additional text information, support information, videos and diverse publication and display formats which might not be stored in back-office systems.

Fully integrated online store

A monitoring system that checks for any updates or changes made in the ERP system to items, customers or any other configured data. When any data changes, an event is triggered that sends an update xml document. This is used to synchronize with third party systems.

Your data is safe

Orders placed on the web are first stored in ECWEB e-commerce, which generates an order-id according to Navision rules and returns the customer receipt. Asynchronously, the order is placed into a queue which will submit the order to the back-office system through the web services until a positive response has been received.
This means that an order can never be lost in the communication between the two systems and the shop continues running during the maintenance or downtime periods of the back-office system. All data transfer is managed through a secure protocol.
