Fast delivery of e-commerce plattform to Life

Stockholm, 25 June 2009 - Life is Scandinavia's leading chain of health food, fitness and lifestyle products. Now complementing the group of stores is a brand new online store for the Swedish chain's customers. The provider of the Life e-commerce platform is EC Software, who already has several other clients in the retail sector, including IKEA and Design Torget.

“The choice of EC Software as a provider for the e-commerce platform was largely due to its track record for scalable solutions for similar businesses”, says Lars Fins, CEO of Life Europe. “It was crucial that we found a supplier who could take full responsibility for the project, which is essential given the many different skills needed to get all the parts working”.

E-commerce is part of Life's multi-channel approach, including the integration of sales, marketing and customer service in stores and online. Web sales will be available in physical stores, for example, to order goods not available in the store. Web sales are also a great way to showcase the range and drive traffic to the stores. The range of Life's online store will eventually accommodate several thousand items, which will place high demands on flexibility and the ease of use of the platform from EC Software.

EC Software has a proven platform with a host of ready-made functionality that can be tailored to each client's business and specific needs. The company strives to help customers quickly set up a completely operational e-commerce platform. The assignment for Life took just three months but the short delivery time is not unusual, according to the company.
