EC Book FAQ's

  • Impressed with IKEA web catalogue, we would like to have a similar E-book with most of the functions with slight modification to Logo, Text color and Search tools box. Can you please provide us with the details?
    The IKEA design is protected and unique to IKEA. For features & package details please refer to EC Book product page.

    For standard package we have four templates, for enterprise package you could ask for customization and it will be billed on an hourly basis.

  • Is it possible the infrastructure to be hosted on our IT infrastructure?
    At this point we do not offer access to the web based production backend. We are however developing a distributable backend which hopefully will be ready in Q2 2010. But you can host the book in your server.

  • We would like to be informed of pricing about EC Book.

  • Will I be able to see the book before I pay for it?
    You could always confirm your product before you pay for it.

  • I’m operating a small company over here in Penang doing E-Magazines. After browsing thru Ikea’s web catalogue, I found that your EC Book seems to be quite a good alternative for our E-Magazine. Therefore I’d want to see if this product is suitable for our company or not. It’d be good if you can provide us with a free trial before we decide.
    At this point we do not offer access to the web based backend. We are however developing a distributable backend which hopefully will be ready in Q2 2010.

  • What are the files required and its specification for producing EC Book catalog?
    Provide us your PDF document with the images in the PDF holding a resolution of 150 DPI. In order to have the EC Book searchable it is important that the text is not flattened.

    We also need your company logo in PNG or AI format and finally we need to know if you would like to adapt the interface colors to the colors of your corporate identity.

  • Can we use credit card for payment? And our finance needs an invoice for the payment, will that be provided?
    Yes, it is possible to pay with credit a credit card but we prefer a bank wire transfer directly to our bank account. First we would provide you a quote and based on the approved cost we will provide you an invoice.

  • What is the desired Image quality?
    Upload the PDF document with image quality having 150 DPI (Dots per Inch) to produce quality output. This would result in smoother & faster page flip.

  • Is there any limitation on page size?
    Having equal page size will ensure smoother page flips and zoom in/out functions. Else you could experience page contraction during each operation.
